MyWisely Pre-card Experience

The Problem

How do we provide an intuitive experience that allows the user to onboard to a new banking (alternative) platform?

BACKGROUND
Wisely is a bank alternative with an accompanying card and app (myWisely) that allows users to get paid early and save toward their goals. Currently, a physical card is required for a user to register for the Wisely app, which prevents them from registering into the app to explore the product. 

Due to a compliance solution However, with a need to solve for electronic payments less dependent on physical cards–a compliance problem for employers–a segment of cardholders would soon be able to register for a myWisely account after successfully enrolling in a Wisely card.

Because we were enabling employers to give an employee’s  first pay on the Wisely card, employees would need to be able to access their money to the dollar. Thus, we would offer cardholders the ability to initiate a cash withdrawal at Walmart or use their card through their digital wallet from the myWisely app.
